During your session, we will begin with gentle, floor poses/stretching, that will be held for approximately 4 to 5 minutes. This will allow your mind to be still, and your muscles to slowly relax. As your mind and muscles relax, stored emotions frequently come to the surface.
With each session, your body will begin to open and relax into a peaceful state.
During each session, we will teach you to pay attention to your breath. Most people do not realize how much they hold their breath throughout the day. Our bodies (tissues and organs) long for more oxygen, and through our practice we will incorporate your breath helping to revitalize your muscles and mind.
Although it’s not for certain that emotions will always come to the surface, your body and mind will benefit from the state of being still.
When you experience something traumatic such as a car accident, physical assault, or even witnessing a traumatic event, not only does your mind remember it, but your body experiences it. When your body experiences trauma, it can hold on to the “shock” you experienced until you have properly processed your emotions surrounding that event.
Our guided sessions will help you to release tension and stress, and put you on a path to relaxation and peace.
